Purpose

At RelationalAI, we respect your need for online privacy and protect any Personal Information that you may share with us in an appropriate manner. This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) explains how RelationalAI (“us”, “our”, or “we”) and our website, relational.ai as well as any subdomains thereof (collectively the “Sites”) use, collect, disclose, and protect your Personal Information. By using our Sites, you acknowledge that we will Process your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy. In some cases, we rely on your consent, while in others we Process your Personal Information based on our contractual obligations, our legitimate interests, or as required by law. Where consent is required by applicable law, we will obtain it separately and provide the opportunity to withdraw that consent at any time. We will not use Personal Information for purposes that are materially different from those disclosed without first notifying you and obtaining any required consent.

When you use or access the Sites, we may collect Personal Information about you for our legitimate business interests, including:

  • Providing the Sites and our services to you and others.
  • Understanding how you and others use the Sites.
  • Determining what features and services may interest you and others.
  • Modifying features or operations.
  • Communicating and responding to requests, including for marketing purposes.
  • Calculating user levels and diagnosing issues.
  • Storing information about your preferences and recognizing you when you use the Sites.
  • Determining your location (IP geo-targeting, GPS-level data, or other behavioral signals).

Definitions

  • “Personal Information” means any information that relates to an identified or identifiable individual, including identifiers such as name, email address, IP address, or user ID.
  • “Process” or “Processing” means any operation performed on Personal Information, such as collection, use, storage, disclosure, or deletion.
  • “Product” means data, software, and/or services identified in the applicable Snowflake Listing Information that we provide or are obligated to provide as part of a Subscription (as defined in the Snowflake Standard Agreement for Marketplace Products, including any patches, bug fixes, corrections, remediation of security vulnerabilities, updates, upgrades, modifications, enhancements, derivative works, new releases and new versions of the foregoing that we provide, or are obligated to provide, as part of the Subscription.

  • “Service Providers” means third-party companies or individuals engaged to support RelationalAI’s operations, such as hosting, analytics, or payment processing.
  • “Cookies” means small files stored on your device used to recognize you and remember your preferences.

Information Submitted by You

Personal Information

Through your use of the Sites, including creating a user account or when you contact us through the Sites, we may request your name, email address, and other Personal Information. Your name, email address, and other information may be used to inform you regarding services, releases, events, or to send newsletters or promotional materials, including for products and services that we offer in collaboration with our affiliates and business partners. The Personal Information you provide may also be used to complete transactions, such as when you download content, register for a subscription, or make a payment.

Categories of Personal Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of personal information depending on your interactions with our Sites or services:

  • Identifiers: Name, email address, phone number, company name, title, IP address, account ID, device ID.
  • Commercial Information: Records of services or content downloaded, demo requests, billing details, or transaction history.
  • Internet or Network Activity: Device/browser metadata, interactions with our Sites, referring URLs, access logs.
  • Geolocation Data: General location inferred from your IP address or device settings.
  • Professional Information: Job title, employer, industry, and related data from demo forms or webinar registrations.
  • Inferences: Internal analytics derived from usage data to improve the user experience.
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide: Through contact forms, feedback submissions, or support tickets.

We do not knowingly collect biometric, health, or financial account numbers unless specifically disclosed at the point of collection. We also do not use or disclose Sensitive Personal Information (as defined under applicable law) for purposes other than those permitted by law, such as providing requested services, preventing fraud, or ensuring security.

Site Usage and Visitor Details

Your Site usage details such as time, frequency, duration and pattern of use, features used, and the amount of storage used may be recorded by us to enhance your experience of the Sites and to help us provide our products and services.

We may use your Internet protocol address, browser type, browser language, referring URL, files accessed, errors generated, time zone, operating system and other details to analyze trends, administer the Sites, track visitor movements, facilitate downloads, and to improve our Sites. 

When Using the Product

We may collect data relating to the performance and configuration of our Product and our customers’ and their authorized Users’ consumption, use of, and interaction with the Product (collectively, “Usage Data“). While most Usage Data does not include Personal Information, the following types of Usage Data may include Personal Information:

  • technical information, or data obtained from APIs, software or systems hosting the products and services and devices accessing these products and services, log files generated during such use;
  • data and metadata about an authorized User, such as User ID, email, IP address, other data about the authorized User’s computer or other device, browser and connecting software (e.g., OS and software versions); and
  • data and metadata about an authorized User’ activities and behavior within our Product, such as click-patterns and feature utilization.

Usage Data is used by RelationalAI for (a) providing, supporting, and operating our products and services, (b) network and information security, and (c) analyzing, developing, and improving our products and services.

Information We Collect About You

Cookies and Other Tracking Technologies

We use temporary and permanent Cookies to enhance your experience of our Sites. If you turn Cookies off, you may not be able to use registered areas of the Sites. We tie Cookie information to your email address when you elect to remain logged in so as to maintain and recall your preferences within the Sites.

Technologies such as Cookies, beacons, tags, and scripts may be used by the Sites. These technologies are used in analyzing trends, administering the Sites, tracking users’ movements around the Sites, and to gather demographic information about our user base as a whole. We may create and use reports based on the use of these technologies on an individual as well as aggregated basis.

Additional Information Uses

We may Process your Personal Information and data as necessary to meet contractual obligations or to comply with our legal obligations. We may retain and use your Personal Information to resolve disputes, enforce our rights, or to protect our, our users’, and others’ legal rights, property, safety, and security. We may also use your Personal Information to comply with applicable laws and industry standards, and to enforce our policies, Terms of Service, or rights arising from contracts, or for such other purposes as you may authorize at the time you submit the information. In the event of a personal data breach, we will notify affected individuals and applicable supervisory authorities without undue delay, as required by applicable law.

For individuals located in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, our legal basis for collecting and using personal information will depend on the context. We typically rely on the following bases:

  • Consent: For example, where we send you marketing emails.
  • Contract: To fulfill our obligations under a user agreement or Terms of Service.
  • Legal Obligation: Where we are required to comply with laws.
  • Legitimate Interests: To analyze usage patterns, improve services, prevent fraud, or support administrative operations, unless your rights override our interests.

Automated Decision-Making and AI/ML Use Disclosure

We do not use Personal Information to make decisions based solely on automated Processing that could produce legal or similarly significant effects for you. If we introduce such functionality, we will notify you and provide meaningful information about the logic involved and your rights under applicable law.

We may use artificial intelligence or machine learning to improve Product features, analyze user behavior, or enhance support automation. These tools do not make decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects for users. Any AI/ML models we develop or deploy are trained on aggregated and/or anonymized data wherever feasible, and not on identifiable Personal Information unless necessary and permitted under applicable law. If our use of these technologies materially changes, we will update this Privacy Policy and provide any required disclosures under applicable law.

Security of Your Personal Information

We take all reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your Personal Information in an effort to prevent loss, misuse, and unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration and destruction. We use appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information which may include: physical access controls, encryption, internet firewalls, intrusion detection and network monitoring depending on the nature of the information and the scope of processing. Our staff, who may have access to your Personal Information, are required to keep your Personal Information confidential.

Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for adhering to your own organization’s security policies, confidentiality obligations and privacy policies. You are responsible for ensuring that you are authorized to access our Product, and are responsible for all your security compliance obligations related to your organization.

Information From Third Parties

We may collect information about you from third parties, including third party applications, social media applications, or data providers that collect demographic or marketing-related information, such as lead generators.

Job Applicants and Employees

If you apply for a job at RelationalAI, we collect and Process Personal Information relevant to your application. This includes your resume, contact details, education/employment history, and any other data you choose to submit.

Your data is used to evaluate your candidacy and comply with legal obligations.

With Whom We Share Information

We may need to share your Personal Information and your data with our affiliates, Service Providers, business partners, and other third parties that support our organization, for the purpose of providing our services to you. The purposes for which we may disclose your Personal Information or data to our Service Providers may include, but are not limited to, data storage, database management, content management, and payment processing. We will share your Personal Information with third parties only in the manner and for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. We do not sell your Personal Information to third parties.

We may share Personal Information that you provide to us with our affiliates or business partners, to communicate with you about co-branded, jointly-offered, or jointly-created products and services, including for marketing purposes.

If you are a current customer and wish to opt out of sharing Personal Information you submit with our affiliates or business partners, you may contact us using the information in the “Contact Us” section of our Sites.

Please be aware that laws in various jurisdictions in which we operate may obligate us to disclose user information and the contents of your user account to local law enforcement authorities under a legal process or an enforceable government request. We may disclose Personal Information to investigate or prevent unlawful activities or misuse of the Sites. In addition, we may also disclose Personal Information to protect our and others’ rights, property, or safety.

We may also disclose Personal Information to a successor in interest in the event of an actual or potential merger, acquisition, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution, or other sale of all or a portion of our business or assets.

Where Do We Store and Process Personal Data

To facilitate our global operations, RelationalAI may transfer, store and Process personal data within our group of companies or with Service Providers in any country or region they maintain facilities, including the United States, Europe, India, Asia and Australia. Laws in these countries may differ from the laws applicable to your country of residence. We take steps to ensure that personal data is Processed, secured and transferred in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable law.

Where we transfer personal data from the European Economic Area to other countries in which applicable laws do not offer the same level of data privacy protection, we rely on appropriate safeguards to help ensure an adequate level of data protection, such as ensuring any such transfer is subject to the terms of the applicable model clauses or other required and adequate transfer mechanism.

RelationalAI complies with the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU-U.S. DPF) and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF, and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Swiss-U.S. DPF) as set forth by the U.S. Department of Commerce.  RelationalAI has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (EU-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the Processing of personal data received from the European Union and the United Kingdom in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the European Commission Standard Contractual Clauses and UK International Data Transfer Addendum.  RelationalAI has certified to the U.S. Department of Commerce that it adheres to the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework Principles (Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles) with regard to the Processing of personal data received from Switzerland in reliance on the Swiss-U.S. DPF.  If there is any conflict between the terms in this privacy policy and the EU-U.S. DPF Principles and/or the Swiss-U.S. DPF Principles, the Principles shall govern.  To learn more about the Data Privacy Framework (DPF) Program, and to view our certification, please visit https://www.dataprivacyframework.gov/ 

In compliance with the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF, RelationalAI commits to refer unresolved complaints concerning our handling of personal data received in reliance on the EU-U.S. DPF and the UK Extension to the EU-U.S. DPF and the Swiss-U.S. DPF to JAMS, an alternative dispute resolution provider based in the United States.  If you do not receive timely acknowledgment of your DPF Principles-related complaint from us, or if we have not addressed your DPF Principles-related complaint to your satisfaction, please visit https://www.jamsadr.com/dpf-dispute-resolution for more information or to file a complaint.  RelationalAI remains liable in situations where we transfer personal data onward to third parties. Please note that we may be required to disclose personal data that we receive under the DPF in response to lawful requests by public authorities. Under certain conditions, you may be entitled to invoke binding arbitration when other dispute resolution procedures have been exhausted, as described here. Security

We maintain appropriate data collection, storage, Processing, and security practices, intended to protect Personal Information collected through the Sites.

Third-Party Subprocessors and Certifications

We may engage third-party subprocessors to support our infrastructure, including hosting, storage, analytics, communications, and payment services. These providers are contractually obligated to protect your Personal Information in accordance with this policy.

We regularly evaluate the security posture of our partners and require data protection agreements before onboarding any third party that Processes Personal Information.

Your Choice in Information Use

You may be asked to provide Personal Information to engage in certain activities, such as to submit an order or to request information from us. You may choose not to provide the Personal Information we request. If you choose not to provide us with your Personal Information, we may not be able to process your request.

Not providing information we request may also restrict your ability to use certain features of the Sites. For example, you may be able to restrict the collection of Personal Information or functionality through your device’s operating system or by disabling Cookies, but doing so may prevent you from using the functionality of the Sites.

From time to time, we may send emails to you regarding new services, releases, promotional materials, and upcoming events. You may opt out of receiving newsletters and other secondary messages from us by selecting the ‘unsubscribe’ function present in every email we send. However, you will continue to receive essential transactional emails.

Changes to our Privacy Policy

We may modify this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our privacy practices at any time and without prior notice to you. When we do so, we will update the Effective Date of the Privacy Policy. Your continued use of the Sites after the Effective Date of any change to the Privacy Policy will be deemed to be your agreement to the modified Privacy Policy. European Privacy Rights

Similarly, you have the right to restrict or object to our Processing of your Personal Information. The right to restrict Processing arises only in limited circumstances, for example, if you think we are Processing inaccurate information. In cases where our basis for Processing your information is the satisfaction of our legitimate interest (e.g., fraud prevention), you may object to our Processing. However, we will decline your request if our interest in continuing to Process your information is sufficiently compelling to legally override your interest in the request, or our Processing is necessary, for example, to establish, exercise, or defend a legal claim. You may also prevent us from sending direct marketing at any time without limitation. You also have the right to obtain your Personal Information and transfer it to another party, or ask us to do so on your behalf, which we will do when technically feasible. This right is limited, and only arises when our Processing of your information is automated and based on your consent or our user agreements and/or terms of service. If our Processing of your information is based on your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. To help protect your privacy and maintain security, we will take reasonable steps to verify your identity before granting you access to your Personal Information or complying with your request.

Individuals in the EU also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority established in their country.

We retain Personal Information only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to satisfy legal, accounting, or reporting requirements, enforce our agreements, or resolve disputes. Retention periods vary based on the nature of the data and our legal obligations, but we periodically review and delete or anonymize data that is no longer necessary.

California Privacy Rights

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (as amended by the CPRA):

We do not knowingly sell Personal Information of users, including those under 16 years of age.

Children’s Privacy Rights

Our Sites are not directed to individuals under the age of 13 (or 16 in certain jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children without verifiable parental consent. If we become aware that a child has provided us with Personal Information, we will take steps to delete such information. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with Personal Information without your consent, you may contact us at privacy@relational.ai and we will take steps to remove such information.

Transfers of Information

As part of our operations, we may transfer information about you to any jurisdiction where we do business. When you use the Sites, you acknowledge that we may transfer information about you as described in this Privacy Policy. We may transfer your Personal Information for any of the purposes identified in this Privacy Policy to our affiliates, Service Providers, and business partners that may be located outside of the jurisdiction where you are located. The laws in those jurisdictions may not provide the same level of data protection compared to the laws in your country. When we transfer Personal Information from the EEA or Switzerland to entities located outside of the EEA or Switzerland, we rely on legal mechanisms such as your consent or standard contractual clauses adopted by the European Commission to establish adequate safeguards.
